A dining chair whose slender proportions and carefully adjusted seat curvature create visual tension. Inspired by socially tense moments, it invites quiet immersion through a restrained and composed form. While expressing tension visually, the chair’s curved seat is designed to offer a calm sitting experience. Sustainable disassembly is embedded in the structure as part of its formal language.
NC Project established the structural and formal direction of Nervous Chair. Through parallel studies in wood and aluminum, it explored construction, material contrast, seat angle, curvature, and sitting comfort. It marked the point where structural logic and visual tension began to develop together, becoming its conceptual starting point.
